@lukep – Hi. I am in my teens and I have celiac disease but I was also experiencing lots of IBS related stuff as well. I don’t know about your child’s symptoms but I found that I was able to control my own symptoms by watching what I ate and managing my stress. It might be worth checking out, maybe it can help? Thanks!

Thanks for responding @missmae. What kinds of changes did you make to your diet? Was it avoiding certain foods or timing of meals, etc?

Hey @lukep – Mostly I was watching what I ate. I started avoiding spicy foods and making sure that I didn’t overeat. I found those to be the main triggers for me. I also experimented with cutting out certain groups like starches or dairy at different times just to see how my body would react. I didn’t notice much difference most of the time. Hopefully you and your child can start working together to figure out what works best for you. Let me know if I can help any more. Thanks!

@missmae – I appreciate your willingness to help. I have a couple of other questions but I am not sure I feel comfortable asking them on this open forum. Would you mind if I sent you a message instead?
