Good evening everyone. My name is Shannon and I am the mother and then almost 10-year-old beautiful girl named Emma. Emma was born with transposition of the great vessels, a VSD and pulmonary atresia. Since birth she has had four corrective heart surgeries at Arnold Palmer Hospital. We are so blessed to have an amazing hospital like APH right in our backyard. We are reminded every day of how truly blessed we are by the miracle we get to call our girl.

My name is Heather. My son Cameron, he will be 5 in March, was born premature at WPH with the diagnosis of Automatic Atrial Tachycardia. For the past 4 years we have been regulars at the Heart Center. In December of 2013 Cameron had a successful ablation surgery at APH. We are thrilled to say he is in the clear and living a heart healthy life. We wouldn’t be saying the same if it wasn’t for WPH and APH. We are proud to be a part of our heart family and are active in Mended Little Hearts of Orlando. I am one of the coordinators for MLHO so if anyone has any questions, please feel free. Our family has also recently become an advocate family for Greater Orlando Children’s Miracle Network. We love that it gives us the opportunity to spread awareness and give back to the hospital that saved Cameron’s life.

Hi @h_gove – Thank you so much for sharing with us! We are so happy to hear that Cameron is doing so well, and that he is now a happy and thriving little boy. Please let us know if there are any events for Mended Little Hearts of Orlando or Greater Orlando Children’s Miracle Network that you would like us to add to the calendar in the future. Thanks again for connecting with the rest of the group!
