I am a widow of 4 children. My husband passed away March 30, 2012. It was
sudden and has been a very long journey. I am new to Florida and my
youngest child has spina bifida and I am looking for ways to connect and
find ways to get her involved.

Hi @melissa2849 - We are so sorry to hear about your loss. We cannot imagine the journey you have been on, but we hope you find the support and encouragement you are looking for in this group. You might be interested in the Spina Bifida clinic we offer at Arnold Palmer Hospital that occurs each Friday. During the appointment, your child will be evaluated by a variety of specialists who are a part of our spina bifida team. The specialists then meet to discuss the needs of the child and family and outline a management plan for the child's care. If you are interested in learning more, or would like to make an appointment with our spina bifida team, please call 321.841.5609.
We have also found that many of our families benefit from the resources found through the Spina Bifida Association of Central Florida. You can visit http://sbacentralflorida.org/ to learn more. We hope this helps!

Have you heard of the Spina Bifida Association of Central FL? They have social events every month where you can connect with others.
